Tajma is no stranger to the Midwest. She grew up in the heart of downtown Chicago and is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago’s School of Media Arts where she studied Journalism.
During her senior year of college, Tajma interned with NBC News in Chicago where she worked closely with national producers and correspondents on the TODAY show and NBC Nightly News.
Before moving to Madison to join WMTV, Tajma Hall spent more than two years in Eau Claire as a reporter, weekend anchor, and producer for WEAU 13 News, NBC-affiliate and one of WMTV’s sister stations.
While working in Eau Claire, Tajma covered a wide variety of news including severe weather, politics, health, the farm industry and more.
Tajma has a strong interest in covering mental health and stories that impact local youth and is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When she’s not reporting the news, Tajma enjoys watching it.
She also spends time catching up on the latest episodes of her favorite TV shows. Although much before her time, she’s a huge fan of “I Love Lucy” starring Lucille Ball. She also enjoys taking trips home to Chicago to visit family.
