Authorities identify man killed in Dodge County vehicle crash

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - One person was killed and two more injured in a Sunday night crash that closed a Dodge Co. highway for several hours.

According to the Dodge Co. Sheriff’s Office, an car was heading north on Jersey Road, in the Township of Trenton, around 7:30 p.m. when the driver failed to yield to an eastbound SUV at the stop sign at the Co. Hwy. C intersection.

The SUV struck the driver’s side of the car, investigators reported. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Armando DeJesus, 35, of Ripon. The passenger in the car, 51-year-old Eliseo Rivera Rivera, was flown by Flight for Life to UW Hospital, in Madison.

The driver of the SUV, who was alone in the vehicle, was also injured and taken to Waupun Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner. County Highway C was closed for more than 3.5 hours while crews worked the scene.
