COTTAGE Grove, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Area Down Syndrome Society (MADSS) announced the date Thursday for its annual golf outing to raise funds for the organization’s programming and services.

The Diesel Forward Golf Outing for Down Syndrome will take place July 9 at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove, MADSS stated.

MADSS explained the goal of the outing is to advance “acceptance, inclusion and opportunities” for people with Down syndrome in south central Wisconsin.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. that day and the shotgun start will kick off at 1 p.m. There will be 18 holes of golf to play, followed by a cocktail reception at 4 p.m.

The outing will also feature contests, prizes and raffles, MADSS added.

Those who are not comfortable to attend the event can purchase a voucher to support MADSS and play a round of golf on a day of their choice.
