Local holiday light shows to get you feeling festive

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - To get in the holiday spirit this year, check out these local light shows!
Rotary Winter Wonderland
The Rotary Winter Wonderland at Marshfield’s Zoo and Park has over one million LED lights. The zoo noted that they have consulted with numerous health officials to keep this tradition alive
City of Fitchburg Holiday Light Tour
The City of Fitchburg will host their first holiday light tour from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19.
Over 40 homes and businesses will participate. The city also noted that signs donated by local businesses will be posted in yards to show a home is participating and will have a number to vote for them
Holiday Fantasy Lights
Olin Park is lit up once again for the 32nd annual Holiday Fantasy in Lights display. The lights are on from dusk until dawn until January 3, and are free to view.
Striegel Light Show
The Striegel Light Show is open from 5-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The show is located at 3767 Stone Ridge Drive in Janesville.
The show will run until January 2 and they are taking donations for the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. There is a donation box located under a street light ona big present box. Donations are not required, but are encouraged.
Sun Prairie Virtual Tree Lighting
The City of Sun Prairie and Sun Prairie Business Improvement District will host the Holiday Fire Truck Drive Thru Parade and Virtual Tree Lighting event from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 5 in downtown Sun Prairie. Prospective viewers can tune in to the Sun Prairie Media Center’s Facebook page from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to view the special holiday program featuring Mayor Paul Esser.
Rock County Historical Society 2020 Holiday Tree Show
See the Lincoln-Tallman House dressed in its festive best over the holidays! More than 100 fresh cut trees grace the grounds of the Rock County Historical Society, decorated by local businesses, nonprofits and individuals who sponsor trees. Visit the newly designed gift shop located in the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center for dozens of art pieces from Janesville Art League members and other regional artists selling on consignment. The gift shop is open Nov. 12 - Dec. 23, Thurs. and Fri. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sat. and Sun. 11 a.m.. to 5 p.m., plus special hours Dec. 21, 22 and 23, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Holiday Light Show - Rotary Botanical Gardens
This annual holiday event is a seasonal escape into a winter wonderland of more than one million twinkling lights and family-friendly fun. Last entrance at 9 p.m., lights go dark at 9:30 p.m.. Tickets will be available online and in RBG’s Cottage Garden Gallery and advance ticket purchase for a specific night is required, as are masks, both inside and outside. Prairie Lakes Holiday Lights Show
Prairie Lakes is hosting a holiday light show December. 5-9 pm, 12/1-31, 2824 Prairie Lakes Drive, Sun Prairie.
Beaver Dam Rotary Light Show
For the fourth year in a row Swan City Park in Beaver Dam is decorated and lit up for Christmas. The park will be lit up until Jan. 1.
Waunakee Rotary Lights
The 2020 Rotary in Lights will open. The display is located in Village Park at 410 E. Main Street and runs each day from 5-9 p.m. The route through the park can be enjoyed from your car or on foot. Free-will donations are accepted at the gate - cash or contactless via Paypal QR code scan. Funds collected are used to support Rotary projects both in our community and around the world.
Take Flight Theater
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Journey to the North Pole is a new adventure ride at Take Flight at the Wilderness this holiday season from Nov. 13 – Jan. 18, 2021. Guests will be able to experience this magical journey based on the movie starring Tom Hanks.
